John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band  is het eerste solo studio album van John Lennon. Als ex-lid van the Beatles schreef John Lennon voor alle nummers alleen nu zonder Paul McCartney. En algemeen wordt John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band gezien als het beste solo-album van John Lennon. De LP werd op 11 december 1970 uitgebracht tegelijkertijd met de eerste single van dit album Mother. In de regelmatig voorbijkomende lijstje van beste albums ooit neemt deze plaat vrijwel altijd een plek tussen de beste honderd in.
